So we have been online now for 4 years. It’s been an amazing journey, and hard to believe this journey began 4 years ago, almost to the day. TheSmartTrain in itself hasn’t been going for 4 years, but it’s sister site and predecessor has.
As TheSmartTrain reaches 4, and I reach 40 something, it is a great feeling to have come this far with the blog.
Strategy-wise, I ALWAYS blogged about what was on my mind in the current moment – quite spontaneous really!! I have done my dues with tagging and categorising and other than that, have pretty much blogged as I wanted to and not as I thought Google wanted me to.
Now don’t get me wrong, I share my blogs on my social networking platforms too, in order to increase exposure, among another bunch of stuff.
So what has been popular?
TheSmartTrain Top 5 blogposts so far
I am not surprised by this, and it is a more business related blogpost, and so HOT right now! The post is only 6 months old, and the subject networking and making a good first impression is ever important.
#2 COPING WITH REDUNDANCY – TOP 10 TIPS
This post is also 3 years old, and still very sought after, sure is a sign of the current times and we have much healing to do yet.
Wow – who would have thought? Tips on Christmas? Actually, I sense that it’s the word STRESS that caught the attention of those googling “managing stress”. So perhaps, even if it is July and mid summer, people still get value from this post!
A strange one this, again quite business orientated.
It seems we want to gain time. How do you make time for the things that you want to do? Do you use that extra hour when DST reverses? Or what about when you gain an extra DAY??? I wrote an interesting post on what some women do with their extra day. Would you consider that time well spent?
TheSmartTrain Top categories
So there you have it – the TOP 5 posts. The categories that do well overall are (not in any specific order):
- NEW YEAR
- GOAL SETTING
[update – the original categories have changed over the years, some of the above may not exist now (2015)]
It’s great to be on the continuous journey, and what I love about blogging is you never know where you may end up, who you meet and what relationships are borne as a consequence.
And I am very grateful, thank you to all who hang out here, read, absorb and comment. Or of course interacting on Twitter. It’s been a pleasure to serve you.
